UX consultant brought in for development the UX for MAG, a MMOFPS for the PS3 with Zipper Interactive. Design & prototyping for player display UI in game and game menu systems, from animations to scripting events. Integrated Flash with Scaleform to provide a seamless user experience for MAG.
UI/UX Examples
Set in the near future, "MAG" pits players as mercenaries for one of three private military corporations (PMCs): Raven Industries, S.V.E.R. (Seryi Volk Executive Response), or Valor Company. Each PMC offers different battlefield philosophies, equipment, and aesthetics. The narrative is fairly straightforward, focusing on global competition for lucrative military contracts— the PMCs wage war against each other to secure dominance and resources.
What set "MAG" apart was its unprecedented scale for console FPS games: it supported up to 256 players battling simultaneously in large-scale, objective-driven environments. Matches unfolded with structured chains of command, including squads, platoons, and overall leaders, giving a semi-tactical feel reliant on teamwork, coordination, and leadership choices.
