Overview

As part of a venture to enhance marketing capabilities for Chevy dealerships across the country, I was tasked with designing a dynamic video ad solution for CDK Dealer Services through the Mixpo Video Offer Ad platform. Recognizing the growing significance of video content in digital marketing, the objective was to create an engaging advertisement that integrated seamlessly with CDK offer APIs. This innovative video feature needed to not only attract potential car buyers but also to provide localized content that resonated with varying dealership audiences.

Concept to Execution

In my role as the Lead Designer, I took charge of all aspects of the project from concept to execution. I started by collaborating with the marketing team to understand the specific messaging and brand guidelines we needed to follow. I conducted brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas, focusing on what elements would best illustrate Chevy's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Design Process

To initiate the project, I conducted an exploratory phase which included engaging with stakeholders from CDK and Mixpo to understand the specific elements required for the new video ad format. Following this, I created comprehensive wireframes that outlined the ad's structure, dynamic elements, and key user interactions. These wireframes focused on how the ad could adapt to showcase different Chevy vehicles, promotional offers, and dealership-specific content. Ensuring the design was intuitive and visually captivating was essential for engaging potential customers while enabling ease of use for local dealership groups.

Launch & Impact

After extensive testing and iterative feedback sessions with Mixpo’s development team, the dynamic video ad prototype was finalized and ready for implementation across local dealership groups. Upon launch, dealerships reported an increase in customer interaction and engagement metrics, demonstrating the effectiveness of video content in attracting potential buyers. The ability to customize ads for various pricing packages and localized content not only empowered dealership marketing strategies but also set a new standard for innovative advertising within the automotive space, driving interest in the Chevy brand across diverse markets.
